Hi, I'm Sue!
I'm a mother of twins living in the beautiful South West of England, where I create needle-felted art inspired by the birds and animals of the countryside. I use locally sourced Exmoor fleece, lovingly crafted into each piece with care and character.
I source my wool from two Exmoor sheep farms near Minehead and Wheddon Cross – and some of it probably comes from sheep I’ve helped to deliver! As a farmer’s daughter, I’m proud to fly the flag for our local farmers and give new life to their otherwise undervalued wool in a creative, sustainable way.
My husband Paul and I regularly help out with lambing and shearing on the farms, and in return, I receive enough wool to create my artwork. Sustainability is at the heart of what I do – I use wool dyed with plant-based ingredients and, wherever possible, reclaimed items to mount my pieces.
What started as a therapeutic outlet during a busy chapter of life has grown into a real passion. Now I get to share the joy of Exmoor's wildlife and woolly magic with others through every felted piece.
